Crafted by Land. Lifted by Meaning
stands as a modern gateway shaped by the spirit of its land. Its silhouette follows the gentle contours of the Zambales mountain range—a quiet echo of nature’s presence, grounding the architecture in landscape and memory.
Within, the sculptural glulam framework rises with grace and rhythm. Its form recalls the geometry of the parol, the Filipino lantern of light and hope—translated into structural expression. Crafted through engineered timber, this gesture brings cultural identity to infrastructure, evoking both heritage and forward movement.
The material language is rooted in transformation. Lahar-based finishes, drawn from the earth around Mount Pinatubo, line the walls and surfaces. A tragedy reformed into texture—elevated, not erased.
The terminal breathes with openness. Permeability defines its experience: air circulates freely, light falls softly, and the architecture dissolves boundaries between space and view. It’s a building designed not for spectacle, but for clarity.
